The Aqueduct Area
Overall:
The approach is probably 10 minutes with young kids.
Routes:
The routes range from 5.6 to 5.11b. The 5.6, however, is a crack and therefore not kid friendly. Thus, it will be an outing for the adults to climb and not the kids. The areas is mostly Trad with a couple sport and TR climbs.
You can find information about this area at:
Guidebook – FalconGuides Rock Climbing the Wasatch Range pg. 58
Approach:
The approach is short, about 10 minutes with children. It is a little steep at times.
Landing:
The landing is not flat and could be problematic or frustrating for your kids depending on their age. Here are some pictures to give you a better idea.
Potential Dangers:
Not too much out of the ordinary. There are rocks they could climb up and fall off or trip on. The plants are also overgrown and could be a nuisance if your small. The approach was also a little steep at times and your kids might need some extra help and care.
Extra Kid Fun:
There are lots or big rocks for small kids to ‘boulder’ on and feel included.
